alternators
My alternator went the other day. I looked at the postings to find a common denominator, the leaky power steering pump. My mechanic gave me a good price for a 100 amp alternator and charged one hour labor. The next thing, I get a call telling me it's not just the alternator. I've already checked the power steering pump and it doesn't leak what could it be?
He tells be the distributor's o-ring is leaking oil right on the top of the alternator very hard to see if you do not dismantle.
Just something else to check before the D.I.Y.ers start a repair and get stuck in the middle of the fix.
