Default Stereo adapter?

Hi, so I thought I would do a nice easy stereo head unit swap, pull everything out wire everything up and then when I went to go plug the adapter (Metra 70-1761) realized it was not going to fit and that id been sent the wrong adapter. Spent over an hour googling and reading pages of clublexus stuff about the radios but have not been able to find out if there is an adapter and if so what it is. Any help? talked to a guy at a car audio store and he seemed to think I had to hardwire everything from that amp, hoping he's wrong and there is some adapter I can just wire in. Any help would be appriaceted. Have 2000 LS400 with the stock Pioneer radio
