Hi All,
Newbie here. Been a lurker for awhile but I am taking the plunge. Have been wanting an LS 400/430 for a while.... Finally found a great..to me..example here in Lagos.
Its a 2000 LS400 brought in from Switzerland about 3 years back. Been driven mostly on the odd weekend by a car collector here. Has A/S, Pioneer Stereo (euro Spec) and the odd switch button I cannot identify...some aftermarket add-on I suspect. Did the test drive..smooth...the A/S still in good nick. Looking at replacement with OEM A/S or coilovers later..will buy them and place in storage here at our climate controlled aircraft parts store. It has 240k km..approx 150k miles.
CEL is on, did a scan and an O2 sensor needs replacement. Will be doing an add-on for Bluetooth and DAP/Aux in...whats the best way to go...Hard wired FM modulator??? I like the stock look.

There is a rust spot on the drivers door...I see the rubber seal is torn just above it...How to replace?

Attached are pictures.

Comments and advice pls.

Swiss sticker will go

Rust Spot ...Drivers door. I see the rubber window seal is torn as well. How to replace?

Euro Spec Pioneer radio
What is this switch for?
240K Km approx 150K miles

Looks nice. First thing to do is get some touch up paint, maybe remove the trim sand the area as good as possible, then use a phosphoric etch on it, prime and paint. Even brushing the paint on will work ok, when it drys sand it smooth add more paint if needed.

Mystery switch? - not sure, but on my '91 there is a switch in that location that enables/disables the keyless entry. Odd that yours is completely unlabeled, so maybe it is an aftermarket thing.

Is the switch for a built in radar detector? Only reason I ask is because of that little red dot on the dash

For Bluetooth, I'm a big fan of from or Viastech as it retains the factory look. That being said, not sure what the shipping to Nigeria would be

That switch is definitely aftermarket.
I have not seen that audio system and climate panel on a 2000-year model in the UK anyway, here they have the touchscreen with GPS that also controls the climate and audio systems, in part.
Actually I don't find it as user-friendly; I'd rather have the basic panels like yours, and use an external GPS if I needed one. Plus, the touchscreen display has a lot more to go wrong. You are blessed!

Been a while,
Had the following done and fixed

1...Hard Wired an FM modulator...Awesome sounds
2..Tie-Rod ends replaced
3...All break pads replaced
4...Anti knock; O2 sensors replaced
5..Suspension bushings replaced
6...Transmission fluid changed
7...All tires replaced.
The replacement of the tires knocked out the height sensor alignment---2 inches L-R...took two days to get that back in sync..

All great riding now.

Waiting for my Timing/water-pump kit to come in next week...shipping disaster..story for another day.

Thank you all..
