1992 LS400 Remote Receiver
Hello, my one button remote key is not working anymore, I couldn't find a new one button key with chip set for my 1992 LS400, BUT I can find a new one button key and chip set for 1993/1994 models. Now the key with chip of 1993/1994 I found have different frequency than the 1990-1992 model, accordingly the remote receiver of the later models is different.
The question is, can I use 1993/1994 remote receiver in 1990-1992 models to match the new key?
I did some investigation and found that the key receiver in the truck has 3 connectors; for antenna, Noise Filter, and the main module connector. all connectors fits except the main module one, the 1993/1994 receiver is a bit different, see the photos below:
1990-1992 receiver is up and 1993/1994 receiver is down in the photo
1990-1992 connector (10 pins)
1993/1994 connector (12 pins and different shape)
I hope that someone can shed some light on the above.

I'd say no go.
And the sad thing is we can not get any sort of info on how to make it work. Anything to do with the security systems is top secret only bonded lock smiths and dealers allowed.
