Default Missing gas cap

My 1998 LS400 that I just bought is missing the gas cap. Can I get a new cap on after market sites or do I need one from the dealer. I have heard that some cars don't have caps. But my 2007 does.

your 1998 definitely needs a gas cap. I have an extra, or you can grab one off an aftermarket site. Dealer might be overpriced

should get oem, remember to change out the gasket every 30k miles.

yes you will need one. some cars are so sensitive that they will throw a CEL if the cap isn't tightly secured.
