New to forum and a 1998 Lexus LS400
My uncle has a very nice 1998 ls400 it is in great shape. It has been taken great care of and has all of its maintenance records. It has 153,000 miles and has always been under carport out of weather. I am excited about buying it from him. He is 92 and can no longer drive. His son purchased the car new. I will try to post some pictures. He wants $3500 for it but I have never saw a nicer or cleaner car.

nice ride! I have a 1998 as well, not in anywhere in as good of shape and and i paid $3k for it with 248k miles on it.
Needless to say I think $3,500 is more than fair lol. You got the hook up

Paid $2,500 for mine with 200k on it and a few nicks and dings. It now has 230k and just barely failed smog due to NOX emissions. I'm here trying to learn more about this engine so I can fix it.

At 92 and a relative you'd think he cut you a better deal. If you get it try to keep it nice like it is. If you want coolness find one forsale that's been all cooled out already, instead of messing up a good one.

Nice car and decent price. Drive it and make sure it's what you can live with. They are great cars and that one appears to be well taken car of. Just keep up that practice and should give you many more miles of pleasurable driving.

I'd jump on it. Mine is in the same condition as yours and it is getting harder and harder to find them in this good of a shape. Those factory optional chrome rims aren't too common either.

I think it's a great price.
I got a good deal on mine, but it's not nearly in as nice condition, and it had 50k more miles on it.
$3,500 is an awesome deal for an $80k car.
I don't think that the age or the mileage matters on these cars. A LS400 with 200k miles on it is still a much nicer, better, and more reliable car than a brand new Geo Metro (And a brand new Geo Metro costs a lot more than $3,500)

that looks amazing, definitely get it. in LS 400 terms 153,000 miles is "just past the break in period"
