Default strut tower bar question

Anyone know where can I buy strut tower bar for the first gen. LS400?? I heard that we can use the 93-97 Supra strut tower bar with the additional washer, is it true? If it is true does turbo or non-turbo Supra strut tower bar different?? If it is which one should I get (NA or Turbo one) Thanks in advance guys

NO!

I'll be the first one to tell you, the supra strut bar does NOT fit the first gen LS400. There is a slight posibility that the 1993-1994 models could have a different strut mount and it may fit. Hence, SQ-LS says he had one on his 1993.

I bought the STB thinking it would fit (there is much mis-leading information on the subject) and layed it over the mount points. First, the angle of the mount plate is different than the car mount. Second each hole is about 1/2" offset depending on which side you set down first. Yes, the holes do line up but it is not a direct fit.

I have a very credible source to reference on this, and even then it SHOULD be obvious to anyone who attempts to put it on that it's not a direct fit. In my case, I kept the STB and am having it custom fit (cut, re-welded.)

The TRD is already set and not adjustable. To avoid the problem Lvangundy had I would go with a different bar that you can adjust the length of the cross bar. Plus they are a lot cheaper then the TRD.

Lvangundy, thanks for the info....i almost bought them. And as for SQ-LS, do you know where can I get the one that can adjust the length of the cross bar. I have always seen the one that already set. Thanks in advance
