I'm looking for a new front passenger door due to some body damage and wondering if anything from '90 to '00 will work on a '98? I plan on swapping the guts and interior panels completely... thanks in advance.

Not 100% sure but I remember reading 95-00 will work. 95-97 has different electronics and glass tint from 98-00. since you are swapping everything over you should be good.

The 95+ should be a direct fit BUT there is a subtle difference in lines between the 95-97 and 98-00. (This is more obvious on the front quarters, hood and trunk. I haven't compared the doors personally to know.) I would suggest strictly using the 98+ door.

90-94 doors are out of the question since it's a different generation altogether. according to the lexus parts website, the door skins are the same 95+. it's the internal parts that differ between 95-97 and 98-00, so yes you would have to transfer over all the parts, even the door handle is different!

Thanks all -- so you're saying a 95+ will work as long as I transfer everything over..? Or is it just the skins that are the same?
