I know you want to go VIP style but there are more costs that you could possibly run into. Things like basic maintenance which can be VERY costly.

Read this thread thoroughly. The LS is a wonderful car, but it has it's "dark side"($) come out sometimes.

Here is one thread about the LS's cost..there's another somewhere

The cost might be costly, but you should not have any problems after that. In fact repairs for all Lexus cars will be costly not just the LS. But going VIP style will cost you greatly. My rims will cost around 3000-3500 without tires, JIC coilovers $1550, a full VIP bodykit from japan will cost around $3000-$4000, but you can always go with the add on lip VIP kits which run around $1000-$1500, and then you have stuff like exhausts, tailights, spoilers, and the cost of installation of the bodykit which will cost around $2000. Then you have the audio stuff if you decided to put some in. If I can recall I maybe have spent $10,000-$15,000 on mods alone and if you add my accident bill, my old mods, and maintenance it will be at or surpass the $20,000 mark from this last year and a half alone. But like they say, If you want to play you have to pay. Its hard work and takes some alot of patience, but when you get your car all souped especially a LS because it is so rare, there is no other feeling.

All Lexus engines except the LX470 are non-interference. That means you can drive them until the timing belt breaks if you don't mind the tow-in and unscheduled down time that will occur when that happens.

The general rule is 90k for normal use and 60k for severe use. Here is the link to Gates. This pdf contains all makes/models and indicates interference with an *
