Default Looking for a new project car.

So here is the deal. I'm looking for a new project car to go the VIP "Style" route. This past weekends car show was my last show with my NSX and I think I wan't to build a VIP style car. My choices are Lexus LS400, Infiniti Q45 (Y-33), and an Acura RL (1999-2003 year). Obviously the LS and Q are the true VIP cars, and the Acura is not, but I'm going for the style and not really the chassis. Honestly, I'm leaning toward the RL because nobody does it. There are already 2 LS400s done up VIP on the Island (Hawaii) from the Nights Garage car club members and another friend of mine is thinking of doing an LS as well. There are already 2 Y-33 Infiniti's as well (Those that are on VIP Stylecars know who I'm talking about). I can easily go that route but I'll just be another LS or Q. Sure, I'll do things my way but I wanted to do something that is rare.

I've been doing cars shows with my NSX and RX330 since 2004 and I have never seen an Acura RL at the show. My friend just won over all VIP with his VIP style Acura TL so I know they can be done up VIP style really well. My question is do you guys think I should do it? I've always been a VIP style fan and I've been in a VIP style car club (PimpLux and Executive Konnexion) since 2001. I just never really had a VIP show car since I used my NSX and RX330 for shows. Personally, I don't care about the VIP chassis as much as the style. The style is what got my interested and not really the type of cars.

personally i like the LS more, just more classy imho.

definitely not the RL. chassis is one thing, but finding mods for that car and make it vip? very hard imho. you don't have much choice

Why not do something "wild" VIP...?

The other LS and Q's from Hawaii are done EXE style...be different and go with something really aggresive.

Thats my suggestion though.. and Im a bit biased.

Keep the ideas coming. Yes, Henry is right. I supposed to be saving money thus the reason why I'm selling the NSX and RX330 and going down to a single car. Because of that it has to be used and cheap Well, no more than $25K, but obviously the cheaper it is the more money for mods. I mean, I'll stretch a little if I could pick up a used LS430 for a little more money than that, but I really can't get too out of hand with this one. Also, I'm in Hawaii so car selection is very little and also more expensive than in the mainland. Depending on the car I might have to buy one from the mainland, but shipping would be an additional $1000+ and I'd have to wait about 2-3 weeks to ship.

I don't want to go with the Infiniti F-50 because this is what I would have to go up against. This is my friend Spam's car. All Junction Produce.

How about a '98-'00 LS400? I don't think anyone on the island has done one of those up yet?

Is this Mark Yuen's car? He did a great job, but I'm not really into that body style too much. Also, I did not know you could get an F50 Q for low $20K range. Damn, here in Hawaii even 01 LS430's are still going for above $30K.
