Anyone hear from him lately? Seems like it has been awhile since I've seen him around. He has helped me quite a bit since I started my jouney, I'd hate to see his good insights leave this forum.

 

I think he might be on the Ls430 forums mabey but idk for sure. I find his posts very insightful considering he's an retired ase mech and used to work at the largest Lexus dealer in the US. His posts convinced me to try the Motorcraft FL400 oil filter.

 

the FL400 crosses to a wix 1516 which doesnt have the correct micron rating the 1348 has which was engineered for the car..so that larger filter u r using doesnt equate to better filtration. keep using that filter....ill stick with what i know to be better for my car.

 

The FL400 and the 1516 are the same filter?

fl400 is made by champion..or fram. 1516 is wix. wasnt debating as i stated a fact..nothing to debate about
