Can a green LS400 look cool?
I'm in the market for an LS400 and there's one for sale locally that is green (gray two-tone) and is a single owner with a boatload of service records.
Buying this one makes sense from a reliability and history standpoint, but I'm not sold on the green color and haven't been able to find any similar cars that look good. Does anyone have any pics they could share of a green LS that's non-stock and looks good? Searching the web didn't give me much other than completely stock cars.

That does look pretty sweet, but it's all solid green and no gray two-tone. Maybe that section being painted to match the green will be the first thing in order.

If you dont like the color. Try dipping.
Here's a suggestion :
2 x Gun metal Grey
2 x White
2 x Pearlizer
Should cost you less than 2k and will give you the looks of a diamond-white pearl.

One of my all time fav LS's is green:
Also who cares about the color, if you can't find a green one thats up to your liking think of it as a challenge and make one
I, with a passion, HATE silver cars. Brown/beige is the only color in my mind that is below it but like you that was the only decent LS in my area at the time so I got it and think overall it came out pretty well. I've gotten use to the color over the past year

Well, I guess I might not be buying this specific car after all. A few cardinal sins came to light yesterday on the part of the seller....
1) he runs 89 octane, not premium
2) the car has a strange vibration that's noticable above 40mph and the guy refuses to let me take the car to a mechanic or dealership to get it looked out before I buy it
3) he lowered his own price trying to get me to buy this car and avoid the mechanic
EDIT: I forgot 4) He says that he has all the service records from the day the car was rolled off the showroom floor, yet isn't willing to provide them because he believes they have his credit card information on them. He doesn't understand that having the records but not being willing to produce them is the same to a buyer as not having any records at all.

EDIT - my color (Black Jade Pearl / gray) looks just like the car in TMAdash1's post above.
In the last couple of years the hood clear coat started bubbling / flaking, so I ended up plastidipping the hood in the original matte black standard plastidip color. The rear bumper was a little dinged too, so I plastidipped that too. Did the grill too. It all looked so good, that guess what ... all that gray cladding got dipped in black. I think it all looks great, but of course it's a matter of preference.
It's plastidip, so it will cost about $20 to try it, and if you don't like it you can peel it off. What's not to like?

Oh yea, I know that. The guy is a douche though, and texted me after I left saying that I wasted his time. I feel sorry for whoever is brave enough to buy that car from him.
