Any tips for power wire through firewall?

Default Any tips for power wire through firewall?

Hey just having trouble with finding a place for the power wire through the firewall on my 94 ls400. Any info is greatly appriceated thanks.

Just find a spot on the drivers side to drill through and make sure that there is nothing on the other side that might get damaged by the drill. Make sure to go slow.

i ran mine under the brake booster, comes out from the driver kick panel.

Look under the hood on the firewall. Toward the top left of the brake booster you will see the wire (mechanical not electrical) that controls your climate control temp. That wire goes through a black rubber grommet. Carefully poke a small hole through it and run a piece of test wire through. Go inside the car and look under the dash on the drivers side above the gas pedal on the firewall and you should see the test wire coming through. This has worked for all three of my LS's and should work for you.

OR...... if your running it to a amp in the trunk. Just run it under the car all the way to the rear spare tire well. There are these plastic sleeves that have the fuel lines in them and have plenty of room for a heavy power wire. Much easier than running it through the interior. IMO

yep! this would be my plan as well.

Would this apply for a 2000? And if possible can you show a pic?
