LS400 Engine Cover
I have a 92 LS400 with no 1uz engine cover and I would like to purchase one but would like to know what modifications will be needed to make fit under the hood if possible to a 1st gen LS. Reason why I'm doing this is because I have everything else custom done in my car, from the interior/paint/wheels/trunk etc, but my engine bay is the only thing almost untouched. Can someone please tell me if they have done it and what had to be done to make fit and clear under the hood. I will be hydro printing woodgrain patterns that match interior trim and VIP tables. Thanks in advance!!!
Easy to do,you will need the engine cover and also the mounting bracket which fits on the plenum chamber near the EGR.
Remove the throttle cable cover and relocate the mounting stud to fit the hole in the engine cover, remove the front top wire cover.
To attach the cover use some 10mm dome nuts.
If you pm me your email I can send you detailed pictures of the brackets and mounting.

that's because they were only fitted to air suspension cars. Aren't made for normal coil spring cars.
EDIT: the shock tower covers, not the engine cover.

Mines not on Air Suspension but they were also fitted to the models fitted with TEMS ( Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension) which has conventional springs and dampers (shock absorbers) but have an ECU controlled motor mounted on top to adjust the amount of damping depending on whether normal or sport is selected.
