Default Parking sensor

So I'm buying an SR transmission tomorrow to swap into my LS, complete with adapter, clutch, driveshaft, pressure plate and clutch slave! I was talking to a friend of mine and he said something about looping the parking sensor so the ECU doesn't think the car is constantly in gear. Any suggestions or diagrams I could use as reference?

When I did a manual Transmission conversion on my old Toyota Cressida, the clutch pedal had a switch for when it was pressed in, and when it was released. I wired the neutral start switch so it would be "drive" when the clutch was out, and "neutral" when it was pushed down.

The car then wouldnt start unless the pedal was pushed in, and cruise control would work and shut off automatically if you pushed the clutch in
