Default Key with integrated fob/buttons

All,

I would have searched this but the search function doesn't work on the mobile version of this forum app.
My question, is it possible to take a key and fob that are separate (like the 1995 LS400) and convert that to an integrated Key with fob/buttons? Am I being clear on what I'm asking here? I simply want the key to have the lock/unlock/trunk buttons integrated. Can this be done?

I'm not aware on an integrated one but if there is such a combination, you'll want the one with:
FCC ID#: HYQWDT-C
Canada:1551 K1420
Canada 210

If you find one, post back.

I guess I'm wondering why we can't just take one from whichever year they started making the integrated keys and program it to match the car? Is this that difficult? Has anyone tried this?

The communication from the remote will be specific for the model-year. It may be possible by changing out the door control receiver module if this can communicate with the controlling ECU. Lots of work to save a bit of pocket space though.
