Default trans problems

i know the engines in the 1st gen Ls400's are strong but what about the transmissons? what type of problems are those trans's prone to and how long do they usually last? also is it normal for the those trans's to make a soft humming noise when in gear at slow speeds? let me know what u guys think! thanks.

yea guys, dunn378's question is also my question. Could someone answer this? Also, is the soft humming noise normal?
