Default Idle Port Cleaning 98LS

Where are the idle ports located on a 98LS? I am removing the throttle body for cleaning, my mechanic says the 98 does not have idle ports, I know this is not true. Any pics?
That will help. Thanks

Your mechanic is correct. It does not have any specific idle port.

As far as I know, the US versions do.

There are 3-5 ports under a metal plate on the very top of the throttle body. It is held on by 2 Philips screws and easily accessible once the engine cover is removed.

Those are air assist ports for the injectors to mix air in order to get better gas mileage. They are not idle ports.

Call them what you will, cleaning them has improved idle quality on every '98-00 i've touched.

I would love to clean mine. Anyone have photos of the location of the ports?
