I suspect that I am one of very few on this mainly North American Lexus forum who know what the U.K.-only Dynamic Handling Package (DHP) was. Have you checked to see if wheel centers for other Lexus models will fit? I don't remember offhand which wheels were on the early U.K. LS430, but the centers on the DHP wheels look very similar to those on the standard wheels of the 2001 LS430 sold in North America.

For those who don't know what a DHP is, there are photos here: http://retrorides.proboards.com/inde...d=70200&page=1

Are they available aftermarket or from a oem dealer? (The swaybars or the wheels)

I admit I never heard of the DHP model but I did see pictures & a video with this model in the past & wondered if it was just UK trim level. What a shame that it wasn't available here when only a fraction of LS400's were sold in Europe. That rear sway would be nice!

Are those wheels 17x8 ? 245/50/17 is an odd size here. I'm running 235/50/17 up front...

I contacted the parts manager at Lexus of London and he wrote back. He is checking to see if those DHP sway bars are still available. He said he could not find a part number for the DHP package but is looking into it. I will let you guys know.

Bad news. May be long gone.

We`ll Dave we came to crashing halt. My contact in the UK, Lexus Edgeware Road, London, England researched and found this package originally was a POE, port of entry additional by Lexus UK, and all the parts are now listed as obsolete. He made inquiries thru his contact and did not find anybody with left over stock.

I suppose I could have provided more information about the DHP option in my previous post. The DHP "option" was not an official Lexus option so there are no Toyota part numbers for its components. I used to know which suppliers provided the DHP components (springs and sway bars) but that was long ago and I don't remember.

The DHP option got mixed reviews. Many people thought it made the ride far too harsh for the little improvement in handling. Breaking of the shortened springs was fairly common.

It likely would have been far better if it been engineered by Toyota.

frankly you could do a version of it with some H&Rs or eibachs on stock/kyb shocks and an uprated rear sway (though nobody makes one for '98-00 right now...)

Sorry to revive a very old thread but I have answers for you guys asking about DHP sway bars.

I recently learned that 95 rear sway bar is 13mm. 98 rear sway bar is 19mm. And i learned it can be swapped (thanks to an LS400 buddy off Instagram @unorthodox_gearhead) , just remove the 13mm and install the 19mm.

Also from reading about DHP models before I believe the rear sway bars were +1 oversized for a total of 20mm (DHP).

So anyway I added a 98 rear sway bar to my cart on Amayama.com. Then went shopping online for polyurethane bushings for said sway bar from Siberean Bushings.com (again recommended by @unorthodox_gearhead). you have to go in their catalog under Celsior instead of LS400 though. I noticed they have bushings for the standard 19mm 98 celsior sway bar, which the bushing appears to be 20mm in their catalog. but it also has a 22mm bushing from a 98 celsior "ER version".

So it made me wonder if the ER version celsior had an even thicker rear sway bar than the DHP model - 21mm vs 20mm?

So I then went back to my Amayama order and searched the catalog for celsior Er version, found it and ordered the rear sway bar from it, and ordered the 22mm Siberian PU Bushings.

The sway bar should arrive in a week or two, I'll update here if it is indeed 21mm thick and whether the 22mm Siberian PU bushings fit properly. but I'm excited to see how the ride feels after I put this in.

Part Number for 98 Celsior Er rear sway bar (should be/supposedly is 21mm) is 4881240070
link: https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/4881240070

Link for Siberian PU 22mm rear sway bar bushings for 98 Celsior Er version:
https://siberianbushing.com/part/1-01-820

Ps. I do believe you can also find the actual DHP model sway bars on Amayma too under UKDM LS400- I believe the DHP vin / chassis code has an "R" in the end. As in - UCF20R
