Default LS430 wheels on a LS400

I am thinking of getting 17" LS430 wheels for my 2000 LS400, does anyone have any pictures. I am trying to decide between the 17" LS430 wheels or 18" aftermarket wheels (similar to the 18" LS430 wheels). What do you guys think, I am really concern about ride quality and therefore thinking that 17" might be better for me. I live in the NYC area and would like to be able to use the car and not worry about the ride quality. I bought this car because of the ride and therefore don't want to mess with it too much, but am not crazy about the wheels that are on the car now (16" LS400 5 star wheel). Also which tires are the best for this car, quietness and comfort is very important

Thanks all

The 17's should be fine as far as ride and a slight improvement in handling. Tires...if the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S is available in this size, it has some very good reviews.

That said, if it is these, I think they are nice looking wheels.

RA40,
Those are the wheels that I have, but not in chrome. I was thinking of getting the 17" LS430 7-spoke wheel. What do you think of those

I prefer the look of the current wheels you have over the 17" LS430 wheels.

As long as you like the look of the 17's on the car

The 18's will degrade the ride quality and reasonable tires will get you $150+. The 17's will be about $15-25 less. Once you upgrade, if you take the car to the dealer, request that they don't wash it unless they do it by hand. The automatic car washes have damaged many wheels here.

Thanks all,

As far as the current wheels, I do plan on keeping them and will use them in the winter. As for why I am thinking of changing wheels, I just wanted to personalize it a little. I figure the wheels were the easiest, also will be tinting the windows all around with 35%.

As for the wheels has anyone installed the 17" LS430 wheels on a 98-00 LS400, I have been searching everywhere and cannot find one picture. Does anyone know how the newer wheels would look on my car, I have no idea; but I am hoping it will look good. My care is millenium silver and I am looking to get chrome 17".

Please keep your opinions coming, I really appreciate everything.

Thanks

If you go with the 17" I would go with chrome, because they tend to look bigger. The gen3 LS is a very big car that dwarfs its owen wheels IM(not so)HO.

I actually think it rides better than with the old stock 16's I had. The tires are Michelin XV4's - smooth and quiet. No rubbing or handling issues at all!

no, what I said was:
