Just wondering if the gear for the steering wheel tilt is the same between 1989-1997 LS400s.

Quick search on eBay shows that the 1LS gear is almost $10 cheaper $19.50 shipped) than the 2LS ($28.10 shipped). Of course cheapest option would be to go to a junkyard and pocket like 10 of them, but the distance of the nearest yard has me not wanting to go that route.

My downwards tilt does not work, but it worked going upwards just fine and now it's stuck in the full up position. Going to do the rubber grommet trick on it tomorrow as a temporary fix and then unplug the motor for it.

Also found this and it's cheaper than the 2LS one on eBay... Still cheaper and says it fits 89-00, but obviously it wouldn't fit a 98+, so unsure if it's the 2LS one or the 1LS, or if they're the same size...?

 

2LS has two different versions. I assume not.

 

Damn, alright. I'll just order the one off ebay since the amazon one is so unclear.
