Yamae,
Would it be practical to take a mulitplex network door computer or individual door computer from a salvaged LS400 and just swap them out? Would that involve any mismatched programming or would it be "plug and play?"

Judging from your symptom that your windows work using the switch on each door, I think those door computers are OK. Only the master door computer is half dead. If I were you I would check the master door computer board tracing the switch line to the processor and then to the FET.

If I am not good at doing things like those, I just will replace the master door computer finding it at a junk yard. Make sure that you try to find one which has a same part number.

I'll be in the market for a master door computer. Thanks for the guidance!

Default Drivers window goes up/down, then stops immediately

First off, thanks for accepting my request to join the club. So, my 96 ls400 driverside window goes up/dwn but then stops after 2sec. Then i gotta help it up the rest of the way. I took motor off regulator to see if just getting stuck, but nothing seems to be in its way. Motor seems weak, like it spins but then slows to a stop. I dont know anything bout electronic but im a quick learner if understood, all kinds of advice is greatly appreciated. Wanted to know more before spending money on things not needed

sounds like you pissed it off when you put the camry switch in it. yes they look VERY close but they are not the same. if a bunch of other stuff went out too, id check your fuses.

the drivers master window switch issues are VERY common. seems to be unique to the 1995s only. mine has always been intermittent and everyone else ive ever known with a 95 has the same issues. however, the driver window will always work, and the other 3 windows work fine if operated one at a time, from the other door switches, but sounds like you have something else going on...
