Default 1995. power windows going. help!

okay so the drivers side window still works perfect, however the other three come and go. they will work, quit unexpectedly and then come back, then quit again etc, but the drivers window continues to work. bad switch seems like the prime suspect but why would the drivers window still work when the other 3 go? they other 3 can still be rolled up from there door. before I start ripping things apart I just wanted you guys take on it. is the drivers window on a seprate circuit even tho all windows are on the same switch panel? also, will I have to program / initialize the windows after changing switch if I do? plus, what years are compatible? can I use, lets say, a 96 or 97 switch or does it have to be a 95? I know the 94 ucf10 switch aint happening.

thoughts?

with the windows working properly on their own door switch, the problem is your master switch contact points have oxidized from lack of use... 95-97 are the same, unless you want to take yours apart and sand paper them .. I used to use a point file in the old days, because it would do both contacts at the same time.. good luck

I had the Vehicle Technology Specialist at Lexus of Plano reprogram my 99 so the lights would go off with the ignition switch, I no longer need the extra time... they do the cbest stuff free.. like the car washes.. just love it..

Replace the driver's door switch. It's likely more than just contact corrosion and they're dirt cheap used.

if I can find one at the local self service wrecking yard that hasn't been stripped to the frame.. I see a lot of UCF10s in the boneyard but not too many 20s, however they are getting old enough now to find.
