Default Resonators or mufflers removal

At the moment, I'm not looking to do a full exhaust system. I'm looking for the mellow v8 tone/rumble, and I'm wondering of the two. Which is the better to give me the sound I'm looking for? Removing the resonators and running piping to the stock mufflers? Or removing the mufflers and running piping from the rasonators into custom tips?

These are the only two options I'm considering. Don't want to go with a magnaflow, or any other system. And don't want the aggressive v8 note. Any info would be great. thanks!!

Just did the muffler removal today. Sounds good for something so cheap and easy to do.

Oh well. It only takes like 10 minutes to get them off.
