I don't think letting it sit is going to help stop oil leaking from the front main seal. Read original post again.

Sorry, I ment all the lights showing up on his dash post wash. The oil leak sounds like front seal.

red lights on the dash is always a bad sign, esp the oil light. that means your oil pressure is low, due to lack of oil. since you are leaking it all out, you should take it in to check for a seal failure. it could be simpler problem, like a line or a loose oil filter. you never know until you get down and into the area of origin.

X2, it really takes a beating for these engines to go bad, i read some whare that you could run these motors with 1 quart of oil for 1000 miles before the motor goes kaplut on you. Dont worry, its not your motor and it sounds like a maf sesor issue or you got water in your spark plugs or wires.
