I have a '91 LS400 and the drivers door will not unlock nor will it open. The actuator seems jammed. I have taken the passenger door panel off to see how things work and where they are located but I do not see the actuator. I assume it to be contained in the plastic protective/security cover in the door panel, is this right?

Any ideas on how I can fix this issue on the drivers door when i cannot open the door?

I also drilled a hole in the door panel to access the end of the lock linkage that should toggle the actuator....and it seems jammed. It moves some but will not move completely to the unlocked position.
