I am having a problem with our 95 LS400. The drivers door will not unlock via remote pad, door button, ignition key or manually. Since the door will not unlock entry and exit of vechile is via the passenger door. I can hear the actuator attempting to unlock door. The manual unlock button does not seem to be moving all the way to the lock position. I have tried pushing it trying to lock and unlock but don't want to break anything in my attempt. Since the door will not open removal of the door panel for inspection is going to be difficult.
I know it sounds funny that the manual lock will not move fully to the lock postion and that it should be the other way around, but just trying to describe to the best of my ability what is happening. Anyone have any ideas ??? Thanks...

open your door panel. you should be able to fix this yourself if you are mechanically inclined

Thanks for the response, how do I open the door panel if I am unable to open the door ? I am pretty mechanically inclined. just can't get the door to unlock.

what i would do is remove the trim piece where the door handle is located and try to fiddle with the manual lock switch. once that is done and when u open your door, remove the door panels
