Hey, so I have been lurking around here for a little bit trying to pick up some information. My name is Ryan and I live in Canada, in a province nobody can pronounce. Anyway, I am Nissan fan hence the username. For the last five years I have drove and somewhat built my 180SX. However, I am getting a little older and decided I needed a respectable daily driver. I had a hard time deciding between a Celsior and a first gen Aristo. As you can tell by the title, I settled on Celsior. I took an 16 hour round trip this past weekend to pick it up.

I originally wanted to introduce myself with pictures of my new car as I spend a lot of time behind the camera. I do photography and videoagraphy for a car blog called DODOlogic.ca, however I haven't had a lot of time and the weather is pretty awful where I live.

This car is my first real forte into the world of luxury sedans and I am really excited but also have lots of questions.

Run down of the car:

-As far as I can tell it is a 93 but was manufactured in 92. I believe it is the CF trim (if that is actually a thing?)

-The car is equipped with rear seat massagers, they also recline and do that weird thing where the passenger seat folds up and moves forward so the person in the back has more room.

- The rear seats are also heated and it has a cloth interior.

-The car has 129,000 Km (80,156 miles)

- It has rabbit ears on the back, apparently one of the previous owners (an old man) use to hook an 8 inch monitor and watch T.V. in it. ( I can't really confirm this, but I do have the screen in my glove box)

-Almost everything but the cluster seems to be in working order, but I have already pulled it out and followed some instructions provided by this forum on how to fix it.

but at the same time it would have sucked to haul back boxes and boxes of parts
not to mention whole doors

good buy anyways, that ones been forsale for a while *not many people know anything about the celsior enough to loook for one on kijiji*

 

and yes you can watch tv in it.
my celsior has the stock touch screen emv, which before they took the damn analog air waves off, I was able to cruise around watching global! it was awesome!

 

I thought you had sold your as I couldn't find the add anymore. Your add was the basis of what I was looking for when I went to look at this car. ( not much consolation, I know) I could tell from your add and your response that you were most definitely a car guy. I kind of figured you would be on here.

You are right, not too many people know. Older people tend to stay away from RHD's and the younger guys all want RHD Sport Cars.

I have loads of questions right now, mostly about suspension and the limits of the factory air shocks.

 

yea I was just seeing what people had to offer, and only one offer made me think twice (hilux surf 2.4L though so didnt want to in the end)
like I told you everything is forsale for the right price... haha shoulda kept it up damn it! oh well everything happens for a reason right?!


you dont really have limits, besides you shouldnt drive with them slammed / lowered or else be prepared to replace them *you should ALWAYS be prepared to replace them*

obviously in order to drop / raise the car more than the factory settings you need to get an aftermarket controller, you can also **** with the height sensors to get the car to lower.

So the controller isn't a bad way to go? As long as I am prepared for the consequences of course. I was hearing mixed reviews , so it is nice to hear from people who actually use it.

When you replace your stock shock where do you go to buy them?

Koukimonst What controller do you have? Just wondering if there is a difference between the "LOW" setting. Also have you clearanced your UCA
Here is mine Datasystem Spec R 664, UCA clearence holes cut

 

if you drive the factory bags low enough to need the UCA clearanced, you're going to blow them awful fast...

Controller is on my list, as is a youzealand SS kit. It seems I joined the forum a little late from the looks of the classified section. After those are acquired I will start looking for wheels.
