Hi everyone, I did some searching and I couldn't find my answer. I have a 00 Ls400 with OEM HID and autolevel headlights. I want to do a retrofit with Ls430 projectors because I made the stupid mistake of buying aftermarket housings and the beam pattern sucks now. Anyways, I was wondering if done correctly can I still keep the autolevel function with these projectors retro'd?

 

I could probably find it for you in a few minutes but I would rather you do a little more searching. It's been done and not that long ago and there is a thread on this forum with lots of photos.

 

it's challenging, if you havent done it before expect it to take you a fair bit longer than a standard retro. Not many retrofitters bother keeping the OEM autolevel unfortunately.

that being said, it's doable, and has been done. search pls.

 

Mine was kept. Installer said it wasn't hard at all.

 

Yea the installer I got said he can do it. I'm getting it done by Lightmodz in Paterson, NJ if anyone wants to know. I know a friend who went there and they do a really good job. I just got my projectors today but, I probably won't have these retro'd till like late july early august. I'll keep you guys posted!

 

yeah pretty doable. My autolevel function was kept.
