help on pricing for 98 ls 400
Hey whats up! I inherited my grandmas car when she passed away and it sat in her garage for 7 years unused. I have driven it for 2 years and next november was planning on selling it and was hoping for atleast 11k since its basically unused and has 47k miles. However, the other day I got in a minor bumper accident that was my fault in a parking lot and was just wanting some help from you guys as to how much I could still get for the car. It shouldnt be that expensive because its just the bumper cover and trim, but I was quoted today between 1000-1100 which sounds ridiculous for plastic... Is it worth it to get it fixed?

Doesn't insurance cover at least a portion of the cost of repairing this car? The damage seriously detracts from its desirability. You might "net" more money from selling the car if you fix the damage than if you don't.

But I'm with the other guy, a 14 year old car with this low of mileage can actually need a lot of attention. Not to say it isn't a beauty but there are probably quite a few maintenance details that need attention. If you are going to sell the car as is I'd ask for $10k but be willing to take $8k. It easily will probably need $2k in service depending on what you've done.

I agree, I believe the original 11 was a bit on the steep side. I would say current status, 6.5-7. Fix it 8-9. I don't think many will be swayed just cause of the low mileage. For 11 you can start into the LS430 body. Low or high its a Toyota, its ganna last a long while. My 2 pennies, fix it and start at 10 but don't be firm or you'll be with it for a while longer. I would est damage costs at 1,000-1,500...fender, bumper, lens, paint, wheel and alignment.
