Temp and fuel level gauge possible (faulty) ?
Just wondering if this issue have occure to anyone? If yes how did you manged to figure it out.
Just recently purchase my 1st. Gen ls400. From the whole 2 weeks that I have owned, I have never pump a full tank of gas. Just this morning my gas light came on for low fuel, so I finally did. Will as I wait and watch for the gas needel to go up on the cluster it stop on the 75 percent mark and wouldnt go to the Full mark. I know it has a full tank cuz it click on me twice, while I was fueling.
Second, my temperature gauge also reads pretty high while driving it.(needel set under the mark of the H), so today in the morning, I finally notice somthing was wrong on the tempature, because when I first started, the temperature needle jump to the quarter mark.
This weekend I will be heading to the wreacking yard to get a cluster, and see if that slove the problem.

Fuel gauge is not 100% accurate to start off with. I wouldn't wait for it to reach E to refill gas. 1/4 tank you should already be filling it up.
As for the temp gauge, disconnect the ECT and look for signs of corrosion. When you disconnect the ECT, it should read below cold. Wiggle the wires and have some one watch the temp gauge inside of the car and watch if it jumps, if it does, the wire is shorted.
