Hi LS folks, I'm an SC owner, was in the parts department of my local dealer today and talking with the admin manager for parts and service, he said he had heard the '04 LS will be an LS500 with over 400hp - this may be old news, or just pure BS, just thought I'd pass it along - - cheers!

maybe 2005 or 2006. i'd guess...there would be some news i'd think, plus it just had a redesign in 2000. but then again..lexus does strive for redesigns every 4-5 years.

yeah, or it could be the same sheet metal with more horsies, especially if they are serious about joining the German HP race - a 5-liter, bigger than the Tundra block, the 4UZ...

Do you suppose they might then bring the LS400 back for those of us not wishing to participate in the great horse power race?

Or will the new car be the FS500 for "Fast Sucker".

I'm sure they will have a couple of options to choose from in engine wise like the GS where you have the 300 and 430.
Man 400-HP sounds really nice though.
About time they go against the big M and AMG!
Wonder if they have some kind of performance dept to compete against them?
