Pics are coming soon of the RAAMmat install. I've done the entire back section including the rear deck, seat backs, (including front seat removeable back piece) two layers for the bottom bench and 2 layers where a passenger in the back seats, back would be. ;-)
I did a small section of the roof under the headliner, after 3 short layers i couldn't tell any difference so there must be another layer in between the outside metal and the inside. My headliner clips in the middle are missing so there is a slight sag in the center. (not really noticeable).
Also, (I'll post a pic) but be careful to anyone who is going to do a RAAmmat install, to watch out for putting some in at the bottom of the rear windshield wher it touches the base of the rear deck, the deck doens't actually touch the very back closest to the window, so you can see some of the silver mat lining...easier to see in pics..;-)
Car is still running like a slug off the line, timed it again after TPS change @ 8.9 0-60. Some of the stuttering and idle issuse are smoother. Getting crappy mileage too..about 13-14mpg.
i have seen his raammat install myself saturday night and its very clean. you also hear a nice solid thump when you knock on a door with raammat. on door without raammat sounds like thin metal. I'm gonna do my raammaat in my first gen soon enough. Now all you need is a REAL MANS sound system and put that raammat to use. LOL j/k
I've done that to my car too and man is it slow and heavy now!
In the process of doing the custom trunk box install and trying to get JL to sponsor me!
I can't remember if you have replaced the plug wires or not. If you replaced the plugs but not the wires that would be something to consider. Wires can look fine but have high resistance and or crossfire creating roughness, poor idle, poor power and poor mileage. Same applies for the caps and rotors. I seem to remember you posting that some/all of this was done but I cannot find where. If all the tune-up stuff is done and it still runs poorly I would lean towards a bad injector(s). Also the O2 sensors could be worn out. Not specific I realize but just trying to add some ideas.
