Lightbulb Easy engine swaps

I suppose "easy" may be not the correct word, but at least moderate in difficulty. There is not much my guys at the shop cannot handle. Has anyone seen an LS put in an LS430? One would presume that going forward, a car that has been around only for five years will have a limited market in parts in ten or so years. Maybe I am wrong. The Honda Del Sol was only around for 4 and there is plenty of parts. Granted, it is simply a Civic, though some parts like the top and its' contents can be challenge to find. I just sold my one owner Del Sol that was imported from Hawaii. Miss it already, but it was for the sacrifice for the LS.

Update: LS will be getting finished today and will get full tint tomorrow and a thorough cleaning. Will post pictures with a detailed list of all work performed.

I'm sure someone has stuck an LS into an LS. Although, the UZ is a pretty robust engine, so I can see it handling quite a bit of power. It looks like the 3UZ has 4 bolt main bearings, which would allow for a little extra umph, but not sure how the heads would handle it.

Maybe a swap for an LS would be better?

Well, a quick search yielded this;

You can do a gm ls swap into your ls430, to do so you can use the sikky motor mounts for the sc or gs and they will work. The ls swap is the "easiest" swap you can do. GM uses seperate control modules for every part of the car like lexus does. Its very complicated and is going to cost you a minimum of $15,000 if you have a shop do it. Also you have to trim a little by the shifter for clearance.

The part list with prices is as follows.
Ls motor $600-$20,000
t56 transmission $400-$7000
Wildwood master clutch set up $80-$150
motor mounts $400-$1200
custom driveshaft $200-$1400
Gm engine bay harness $99-$200
fuel pump(s) $150-$800
ecu $100-$3000
custom headers $1500
custom exhaust $1400

Theres so much other stuff that is what I can think of off the top of my head. I plan on buying a sc300 and swapping a lq4 in it thats why I know all this lol

Good info guys, thank you. What about the Iforce 5.7? If the UZ takes a dump, I will do the LSX swap. The car will not get any power upgrades as it is now, I simply want to daily it for a total of about 44 miles daily back and forth to the shop
