Question interior lighting failure

Welcome. This is my first post, I would like to welcome all users Lexus'a.
At the same time I want to turn for an idea to remove the imputation of failure. In my LS do not shine the light when you open the door. When replacing light bulbs to short-circuit and lights stopped working. I checked the fuses and all the work. Do you know what is responsible for lighting? Where to look

Hello and welcome to Club Lexus,

The fuse for the lights is fuse number 20 which is inside the engine compartment fuse box but if this has failed other things would not be working also.
Have you tried moving the switch on the front light, as you can slide this to 3 different positions also does the light not come on if you open the other door?

Witam i zapraszam do Club Lexus,

I forgot to add that I have a car of 93 year.
It seems to me that I checked all the fuses including those in the engine compartment. Switch the lamp on the ceiling is set to 'DOOR' and still no light. I wonder if that is not blown a control module including lighting.

Welcome! Yes it could most likely be a fuse, I would double check to be sure, especially since the failure happened after a short circuit to that system.

Another thing to check for is the courtesy switch (door sensor switch) this tells the lighting system when the door is open and that turns on the interior lights. Easy to diagnose if the lights turn on when you open some doors but not others. http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/elect...fcourtesy.html
