Default '92 LS400 - Electrical Issue

New Battery & Alternator was rebuilt by a reputable auto electric shop about a month & half ago.

Today, I noticed the battery light, brake light, low radiator level, low oil level, & antilocl indicator lights are coming on at the same time. It happens when I step on the gas pedal and moving forward. They stay on until I start to come to a stop. When I press on the brake pedal, all the 5 indicator lights go off. The cycle repeats itself. It just started today.

Could this possibly be related to the infamous trunk lid wire harness problem or possibly an intermittent alternator problem again. If alternator, it is definitely going back to the shop that rebuilt it.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Battery is reading the appropriate voltage & is the alternator is charging the battery when a load ( lights & heater on ) is thrown on it.

I will investigate today & let you know the outcome.

Thanks LiCelsior

Can someone tell me how to check this trunk harness that 5ofakind said might be the problem with his ls. My ls is the same year and I have the same problems.

just look at the wiring inside the curved portion of the driver's side trunk hinge

you kind of have to carefully undo the bundle, one of more individual wires may well be broken (the white one is common)
