Ls air suspension problem, Please help!
Hello everyone,
My name is Chris. I owned 2000 Gs300 & 92 Ls400. I recently bought the Ls and use it as a project car in the near future. Before i proceed into my project i need to fix my rear driver airstrut. The problem is.....its only raise the car when the engine is running and its will drop when i shut off the car. i would like to know what can i do to fix this problem myself? i think its must be the air valve......
Thanks in advance
Chris

Well I have the same problem with a 96 I am rebuilding. Since your car goes up when engine is on, the compressor is at least working still. Most likely the rubber bushing or components on your air strut(s), whichever is sagging quickest, has aged thus leaks. You can send it to Arnott to rebuild (a costlier solution in the long run), or just replace all struts with hydraulic ones. I am going with hydraulic route because my project is intended to be a driver, not a showcar.
