My 1993 Lexus LS 400 is perfect in evry way except that when I have parked in my garage it leans very noticably to the drivers side. It has the upgraded air suspension. Any idea of why it does this?

bad strut on the driver side. prolly leaking somewhere. or a bad adjustment for the hight sensor.

 

whoaa... not neccessarily.
i have the air as well and am familiar with the 'bad air struts', etc..
if it IMMEDIATELY leans after getting out, it's probabaly not the struts.
if it takes a while or overnight, then it probably IS the struts.

BUT, you have to understand thw self-leveling function.
1-- car is running, you get in.
2-- car leans to DS, so the air spring pumps up to compensae.
3--- you tunr off car and get out
4-- the DS spring has been pumped up more, so it's going to tilt to the PS... make sense?

you can more readily see this when carrying 3 or 4 passengers. turn it off and all get out--- the car looks like it's jacked up 3 inches! but makes sense.

turn it on with everyone out and it lowers back down....

do some research...

 

Dude! Yes if the car is leaning to one side as soon as he gets out it is the air strut. The rubber on these things tends to get dry and crack after wear & tear especially with high mileage. Your might not hear it leaking. I had 2 bad air struts one in the rear and the other was the right front. I did'nt hear it leaking, but as soon as I turned the car off it lost air pressure.
