Question Hesitation...

Hi all,
1) I have a 93 Ls. Lately, for the first 30 min or so after driving the car in the morning (cold engine), I experienced some kind of slight hesitation during acceleration. The car acted as it didn't have enough fuel or a cylinder missed a good spark. The car then run super butter smooth after this with no symptom... If I don't drive the car for several days then the problem is even worst (engine shaking for several minutes before smoothing out). Any suggestion to fix it?
2) My rear driver side speaker doen't work anymore. I read somewhere that I will need to take the whole door panel inside out to access the speaker? Is there a way for me to just pull out the speaker grill? If not, could someone tell me where are all the screws for removing the door panel? Thanks

I have the same problem with my '92 LS, although it doesn't sound as serious. It seemed to me like on of the cylinders was mis-firing. I ordered cap, rotor, and wires today since they were original (117,000 mi). If I'll receive them until Friday, I will change them over the weekend and let you know how it went. Also, it may have to do (somehow) with the accelerator cable. When it gets old, it is harder to push and also the spring does not respond exactly to the pressure given thus, some times isolates improperly and when you step a little more it suddenly kicks in big.

Hi , I have a 91 w/ 130K ,

Sorry to tell you that I have new caps and rotors done about 1K
with my timing belt, new plugs and wires as well.

I have the same cold start problem , though it happens only
if I don't use the car for 4-5 days. The warm up time is also much
shorter , about 3-5 mins max. Then it seems like everything clears out. During the week , I use it every day and don't have that problem. I bought a new fuel filter , but have yet to find where it goes although I didn't look very hard.

Mlevk, the fuel filter should be on the bottom somewhere near the rear driver's wheel.

Mine does the same, but I think it's a transmission problem. Mine does it all the time, except when it's cold..I actually get better performance out of it when it hasnt been run for a day.
