Default What to do with my LS?

Well, after making a decision to keep my LS for a bit longer until I figure out what I want to trade up to, I have recently been making minor mods to make my car different:

clear turn signals
new badges
factory wood shift ****
factory wood steering wheel
new factory floor mats
leather re-dye

Now I am mulling over other changes:

paint my grill pearl white to match body
rear sun visor
new rims
spoiler

I am particularly interested in what you guys think of body colored front grill?

Well, I saw a Lorinser with rear visor and body colored front grill and thought it looked pretty good but I haven't been able to find any of the local custom shops that can make a rear visor for my LS.

As far as rims and lowering it, I think that the stock suspension is too soft but past experiences with replacing suspension have not been very good leading to a ride that is way too harsh for my tastes.

What I would like is better cornering and handling.

As far as rim size, I like tires and prefer a side wall of no less than 55. The stock chrome 16" is too small, was thinking of 17" or 18".

At my age, I certainly don't want to look like a teenager

And I prefer a more conservative look so I think that lowering the car is probably not for me.

I appreciate any other reommendations you guys may have

yeah, when I bought my car, the wood accessories had just come out so I asked my salesman if I could order those as options. He quoted me $3200.00 for the wheel and $365.00 for the shift!

So I wait a few years and get 'em both for less than $600.00 and install them myself

Actually how old are you? If lowering is too much for you, I think at least put on 20s.....17 or 18s are just too small for the LS. I don't think put a set of 20s on your car will make you look like a teenager. And about the grill....Hmm......I think you should stay with the stock grill or go with the aluminum SUV style grill.....Paint the stock grill will make your car look too cheap, it won't look good.

it is true...that last time i checked, it was $3200 and $365 too.....
really smart that you waited and got them for $600. but if you go to a dealer it will be still $3200 and $365????

for the grille customs....you can take out the black plastic inside part out of the grille and put some diamond grilles. it's pretty easy. less chance to break anything, b/c you are just taking off the black grille inside off from the chrome part. however; don't break anything, it's about $500 without a "L" logo at a dealer.

1) open that hood.
2) there should be like 8 - 10 bolts that's holding a black grille that hold the "L" lexus logo.
3) take it off from the chrome part!
4) post a picture when you done!

I know because I had a chip in it and had my insurance company buy me a new one!
