Please let me know if you have ideas. My problem started about 2 weeks ago. I was driving approx. 45 mph and accidently hit the dimmer stem. Immediately, all electrical components started to turn off. It last only about 1 - 2 seconds and all came back immediately. As a test, I bumped the dimmer stem again and the same thing happened over and over. I pulled over, turned off the car and restared. Once restarted, the problem has not happened again.

My bigger problem is that now on three different occasions, the car will not start at all. A few things I notice are:
* when I enter the car, the entire dash board is dark. No interior lights are working
* when I turn the key, absolutely nothing happens. No clicking. nothing.
* if I wait a few minutes, the lights start VERY slowing showing up on the dash. Eventually, everything starts perfectly.

I found that the battery was very corroded, so I cleaned it well. But the problem persists

Check your alternator if you haven't done so already.
