Default Springs in seat worn out.. Any suggestions?

I just bought a 1993 LS400, 211000, miles, on both front seats the outer side of the butt area of the seats have worn springs. This results in my left leg sitting lower than my right leg. Does anyone else have this problem? Could I replace some spring inside the seat to correct this?

Thanks

I've got the same problem and it kinda ruins the feel of the car, and the previous owners weren't big people. It shouldn't have happened on such a high end car.All the junkyard seats seem to be as bad or worse. I bet a can of Crazy Foam would firm them up !

I agree it ruins the feel of the car. Couldn't there be a way to replace whatever spring/springs are worn out inside. I'm going to take it to a local upholstery guy and ask his advice. He made a custom bikini top for my 4runner on the cheap so maybe he can fix this too. I looked around at the local junkyard, but all the seats had bad leather or were wrong color. What all is involved in retrofitting 430 seats?

Well fitting the rear seat from the 430 is a bit difficult, but front seats are pretty damn easy. It does involve splicing some wires, and it does involve making an adaptor plate for the bolts, but its nothing complicated. They can also be found on ebay or junk yards pretty cheap.

There are no springs. Its a pad under the leather cover. get it re stuffed at the upholstery shop and be done with it about $75.00 per seat.

Sure there are springs. They get nasty, saggy and rusty with time.
