but what "jeffls400" said to check, the 120A fuse
i found it but how can you check if its bad or not?
like i tried to pulling it out but it seems really stuck in there
or it doesn't come out at all?
and is the metal inside the fuse supposed to be brown like copper? or is that how it is?

Yes, it is copper color. If bad, there is a thick copper wire inside that will be broken. The fusible links are bolted in with a screw on either side.

so i checked the 120A fuse
and the copper colored wire in there isn't cracked or anything
i didn't pull it out though just looked through the clear plastic
any ideas people?

Walmart selected wrong battery for my 93 LS400 with reversed polarity which I discovered after trying to start car. Engine turned but no start. Replaced with correct battery but locked in park and no electrical. Called mechanic who said probably blew the ECU. Called tow and when he arrived he released the transmission from park by inserting sharp screwdriver in slot above and to left of gear arm. Car was drivable but no electric i.e. no display, no power steer, no AC etc. Tow drive doubted ECU blown and probably fuse. After reading this forum guessed the 120a fuse cartridge blown. Had same problem others have related regarding removing the fuse. It is not a spade connection but is fixed in place by two bolts one on either side. Took me couple of hours to figure out how to remove it. It is the white one in the left side of the fuse compartment behind battery. Remove nuts on each side of plastic box and pry box up and out. Then sides (not ends) of the box can be popped out exposing the nuts securing wires and locking the fuse down. New fuse from Pep Boys $3 and problem fixed. The old fuse looked OK when in place but when out where could get a good look, could see the filiment was burned.
