timing belt skip a tooth?
cruisin down the street in my six-fo... er LS i mean..
car suddenly sounded very loud through the intake side and a very noticable loss of powers. wont revv past 5k now and im thinking its maybe timing? how do i check timing? i dont see any way to adjust it. are there any other ideas you guys have?

www.lexls.com. Don't make it harder on yourself than necessary. Your problem sounds, as LICELSIOR said, like the ignition coil/coils have gone bad.

checked the coils. both have very healthy spark. it runs fine at part throttle and even sounds like it should under id say 2500 rpm. pulled engine codes and nothing came up. lexls shows marks on the timing belt and cam pulleys but i dont see any on my belt or pulleys. i pulled the egi fuse and turned the motor over looking for the marks on the belt. ran out of daylight but didnt see any. timing is the only thing that fits for me. i replaced the fuel filter and did seafoam treatment maybe 7k miles ago. replaced all plugs and wires and put in new cam sensors and a junkyard afm that seemed to be ok, all was done less than 4k miles ago and it was running like a champ till this.
