Default Replacing Engine and Transmission Mounts

The Lexus dealer told me that I need to replace the engine and transmission mounts on my '91 LS400. Looking at this diagram it's not clear to me which parts I need to buy. Can anyone identify the parts I'll need?

Also, the transmission mount seems easy enough to replace. Is there a tutorial on replacing the engine mounts?

I don't want to be an *** but just search for it and you'll find it.

The transmission mount will be easy to replace but i think its a little bit more difficult to do the engine mounts.

If i remembered how to do it i would have told you and i don't wanna search for it. Just don't think that i'm being a b****h about it. lol

Thanks. After a lot more searching and sifting through countless pages I had arrived at the same conclusion. I believe, also, that #4 is the rear engine mount (perhaps more descriptively called the transmission mount).

I think so too.

I have a 1991 Lexus LS400 as well and need new engine and transmission mounts.

Cheapest I had been able to find were $90.00 each... these are much cheaper (about $40.00 less for both)... these seem to be genuine Lexus/Toyota mounts? Do you know if they are for sure?

Good luck with yours... Lord knows mine are shot to death. I have bad vibrations from the engine and want to get these changed ASAP and give this car to my mom. I know a Toyota tech thats going to do it at his home for $150 labor.

Wait, I may have got my hopes up... I click on mount and it shows $90.00 - what in the heck is that "front-front right" which is #3? Thats what I seen was $70. I thought it was too good to be true to get genuine mounts for $70.

Another possible option is some ADUS parts.
ADUS #9200 Engine Mount, Front, 90-00 LS400
ADUS #9201 Engine Mount, Rear, 92-94 LS400
The 9201 part is also called "Front Transmission Mount".

The 9200 crosses to the OEM number 1236150100 given in a previous post. I haven't gotten pricing on these yet but it appears that Armstrong Distributors has a 10% off sale during November:

Also, this chart shows the ADUS part numbers and pictures for several bushings and mounts:

If you scroll down to the LS400 engine mount section, pictures of the 9200 and 9201 are available via the hot link in the rightmost column.

I called Armstrong Distributors today. Unfortunately, they no longer carry the ADUS 9200 and 9201 even though their website still shows them and they are featured as November Specials.
