Default Speaker problem when playing CD's.. cannot find w/search

Hi all

Stereo system in the ls400 works just fine. Non nakamichi

exceppppppppt when you use the 6disc cd changer. zThree problems

Problem 1: CD's skip pretty frequently during any kind of driving but especially bumps

Problem 2: When playing CD's only the Right hand side speakers are playing. If i switch to FM Radio then all speakers are playing.

Problem 3: How the heck do you REWIND anything? Theres only a button for FF>>

your best bet is to go aftermarket. just buy a new player and harness/dash kit

I KNOW, I KNOW...it's an old *** thread but hey i searched!!. Anyone ever found the culprit of this problem?? i have similar problems. 93 ls400 nakamichi system. Problem is when using am/fm radio , all speakers work fine. When i use the cd changer, some times it will work fine for a bit untill i take a turn then one side will cut out. or sometimes if i hit a bump it will cut out. And also sometimes no speakers will work at all. it's random... and very irritating. i really like the stock nakamichi sound system and only wanted to replace the speakers. but if it's the head unit then i would just opt for a double din instead i guess. any similar problems anyone???

If only some channels work when using a cd and it's fine for FM it's most likely wiring thats loose or corroded in back of the cd player.
I would try to remove it completely and see if a wire is loose. If it's not try to inverse the Right channels with the left.. and if ur dead audio swaps from one side to another you know it's bad wiring.. and if it doesn't you know it's the port in back of the cd player.
