HELP! How do I remove headrest on a 1997

Please someone Help!
I bought new sheep skin covers for my 1997 LS 400. I have been trying all night to remove the headrests and no luck. Removed the back, nothing.
They are electric so I read about putting them all the way up and pushing down on the supports, nothing. Can someone please help.

I'm not sure on the 97 but for my 1990, you raise the head rest up all the way and where the two rods enter the seat you push down on the circles and pull up on the head rests and then they release.

Your '97 has side air bags integrated into the upper seat bolster. If the seat cover completely covers the chair, this will interfere with that airbag operation.
