Default UCF-10 Headlights

I was just wondering...the U.S. version 90-94 LS400 the low beam headlight bulb is an H4 size. I am waiting on the arrival of my JDM UCF-10 one-piece headlights. I hear they actually have a different size bulb for the low beams. Does anybody know the size?

No, I believe the US ones are 9004 for the hi/low beams, and H3 for the fog lights. The Japan ones are H4 for the hi/low beams and H3 for the fog lights.

If you have a UCF10 (89-92) then the low/high bulb is an H3 (9004 I think) bulb. If you have the UCF11 (93 and above) then the high/low bulb is an H4 and should plug right in without any problem. You bio says that you have a 98 LS. Anyways, 92 and under H3, 93 and above H4. The JDM light use the H4 bulbs, so you may have to convert the wiring harness to accomodate. Here is a thread which will help you acomplish that.

If I remember correctly, the fog light is an H3C bulb. Pretty sure that I read that somewhere in the forums. Use the search feature. This topic has been discussed many times before.

hope that helps.

HB1 (aka 9004), not H3.

canadian cars may have the H4's all the way from 90 to 94. in the us, we had 9004 from 90-92, then 93 and 94 went to H4 because our stupid DOT finally approved a better bulb for our use.

OK, so physically I can mount the 6piece headlight set, head lights, fog lights, and corner lights from a 93-94 in my 90 LS just have to do some harness conversion? The physical shape of the light set do fit and bolt on right? or do the 93-94 not even bolt onto a 90??? Please advise . As for bulbs and harnesses I don't care as I am going to HID conversion anyway.

yea, just have to wire since you have H3C (i think) plugs and the 93-94 and all the 1pc JDM lights are H4.

cool, wiring is not a big deal, so the 1993-1994 will bolt in fine right same shape and size? Mounts are in the same spots? I just have to convert the wires and harnesses right? I think I feel a mod coming on!!!

With the Celsior's UCF 11 actually started in the same year as the UCF10 [1989], the 11 just meant air suspension , I haven't yet seen a UCF10 with air including ALL the LS400's that came into Australia , so they are all UCF10's , the next model were also all UCF20's , no LS400 in Australia from Lexus had air til the LS460 .
I have a 1990 Celsior and it is a UCF11 with air , so far haven't come across a UCF11 with out air .

For the Canadian LS400's the JDM headlights replace the USM ones directly , same bulbs , same wires , same mounts.
40 minute swap taking your time with an older car.

yeah, i had to do an H4 conversion for mine since mine is a 90. so i just ordered a harness to do the rewiring, that way if i ever need to go back to 9004 bulbs i still have my socket. i just pulled the harness off. and the JDM lights r sooo much simpler and easyer to install for some reason.
