Lightbulb LS400 Projectors

What projectors would fit best in an LS400 98-2000 headlight housing? I personally want the Q45 projectors coz they look so cool. How would they fit? I have a pair of ES300 headlights that are just lying around and I'm thinking of trying them out. What do you guys recommend?

ehh, hidplanet and even the CL lighting forum agree that the Q45, while looking hot, dont have nearly as good light output as the S2k, LS430, or even the TL/TSX projectors.

Agreed . the Q gatlin gun projector is an esthetic not a purposeful design. Its output is like a halogen bulb even thought it is a HID.
The smallest and easiest for space is the TSX with 96 and newer have a fresnel lens which gives you a less sharp cutoff but gives you more visible area to see.

Like a halogen? Are you serious!?
It can't be as bad as the UCF20 I now can it?

it will be comparable to the OEM HID output, not sharper by much if at all.

The actual light output on the road of the q45 headlight is just as crappy as a halogen bulb on a normal car. I do not see ucf20's in Canada that have halogens as all have HID's here but just a normal car with halogens is what its output is like. It really really sucks.

Anyone tried out the P7 projectors from Lotarev Automotive? They look almost like the Q45's .. Any info on the light output? They got a pic on .. looks pretty okay to me.

in my opinoin the 2004-2006 ls 430 projectors with the shroud fit perfectly. it is almost like lexus designed them to work with the 98-00. i love the light output and the width.

Wow that looks funky, esp. with the housing in black, do you have any pics of the light output at night?

I plan on doing a HID retro fit myself, I have a set of S2000 and TSX projectors with ballast I picked up off ebay sometime ago. I need to get a spare set of headlights to hack up in the meantime.

I like the LS430 projectors in the housing and I will end up painting the housing black also to cut down on glare.

painting the housing black wont "cut down on glare" once u retro projectrors.....

unless you do it poorly and have lots of light leaking.....

the only reason i havent done a projector retro is coz i dont see the point since i already have factory HID, and its hard to find someone who is comfortable working with the AutoLevel

i like these projectors for the colors that it produces while looking at it from afar. i really want to get some BMW lenses to get even more color and sharper cut off.
