Default Dash warped from heat?

Hello all. I just acquired a 92 ls400. I have one issue though. My dash is pulling up over top the center console vents. I have attached a picture to show you better. Is there any way to fix this cheaply? Im assuming I need to pull out my top vents and anchor the dash down somehow. Any ideas will be appreciated.

My grandpa had a vehicle that did this not too long ago. He tried a very strong adhesive and pressing it down for some time. It didn't work, however, his was way more severe than yours and was pulling up around the entire windshield.

Who knows maybe since it's such a small area you could pull the vents, apply some strong adhesive, and clamp it down for a while...

I'd hate to see you shell out the cash for a brand new Lexus dash

It happens.. my dash has a nice big X crack in the middle above there thanks to the heat, and my rear seat has bent quite a bit out of shape..

See if you can find a local upholstery shop that might be able to do something about it..

You could just put one of those sticky type pads over the hole that keep your cell phone and stuff from sliding away

and nobody would be any the wiser lol

You'll need to replace the dash if you want to fix that. I'm sure you can find one in a junkyard.

That's exactly what I have haha. Except it doesn't cover the whole crack becuase the crack isn't centered, and I have OCD like that so I have to have my stick pad in the center of the dash...

its ok. An ls400 can induce OCD. everything has to be perfect.

I found myself cleaning the vents with a cue tip. one by one. Oh well. Car looked 8 years newer!
